Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul fights to address the child care crisis that’s been holding women, families, and our economy back for far too long. We commend her spirit to improve child care access across New York State.
Ms. Hochul is also co-chair of the New York State Child Care Task Force. In a recent article from Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office, which announces a $5 billion budget investment for child care in FY 2022, Ms. Hochul goes on to say, “This pandemic has only exacerbated inequity in both the workplace and home. New York State remains committed to improving access to quality and affordable child care for all families and is doubling down to support families struggling to make ends meet.”
Ms. Hochul chose to see Harbor Child Care’s Mineola program in action, after having learned of us through the Office of Children and Family Services. Senator Anna Kaplan also stopped by to support this very important initiative.
