Passionate About Early Childhood Education Since Day One
Since her teenage years, Florence has always gravitated toward educating and caring for youngsters. Her professional experience began at 18 as a counselor at a summer camp in Hempstead. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis on children’s mental and academic health, she went to Baruch College and Adelphi, completing Master’s degrees in psychology and public administration, respectively.
As anyone who knows Florence will agree, her passion lies in elevating the quality of education for young children. Florence acknowledges the unfortunate correlation between the predominantly female workforce in early childhood education and its unjust financial neglect and lack of recognition in the public eye. With this knowledge, she continuously strives to enlighten key stakeholders about the essential nature of early care and learning while championing the establishment of an infrastructure that prioritizes the well-being of our youngest learners and their families.
