While the Nassau County Department of Social Services provides subsidized child care assistance to qualifying families, many deserving families do not qualify. The Harbor Child Care scholarship program helps these deserving families with tuition costs, allowing their children to reap the benefits of quality education.
Unfortunately, we were unable to give nearly as many scholarships last year as we have been able to in the past. We understand that this correlates with emerging out of the pandemic and adapting to the new normal; however, we were left with significantly fewer funds to support the scholarship program and our organization as a whole. This makes this year’s contributions that much more impactful and vital to our organization.
