On Friday, March 7, 2025, Harbor Child Care had the privilege of hosting New York State Assemblymember Noah Burroughs at our Plaza location. Assemblymember Burroughs, who represents Uniondale, visited Harbor as part of his ongoing commitment to learning more about early childhood education and care.
His visit stemmed from our recent advocacy efforts in Albany, where we had the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities in our field. Assemblymember Burroughs expressed a strong interest in understanding how programs like ours are funded, the obstacles we face, and the impact of Universal Pre-K. As a former educator, he recognizes the vital role early childhood education plays in shaping young learners and supporting working families.
We are grateful for his time, thoughtful engagement, and dedication to this critical issue. Assemblymember Burroughs shared his desire to return for a longer visit and explore ways we can work together to strengthen early childhood education in our community.
