At Harbor Child Care, we believe every child deserves to thrive in a safe and nurturing learning environment regardless of their family’s financial situation. Research shows that high-quality early childhood education prepares children for the upper grades in all areas of development.
Since 1973, we’ve supported more than 20,000 children by helping them build strong foundations for success. The Harbor Child Care Scholarship helps ease the financial burden on families and provides access to high-quality early childhood education regardless of zip code.
Harbor Child Care is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that does not receive profits from the public and only charges tuition that covers the essentials of the budget. Funds raised by fundraising events and donations support scholarships for families in need of tuition assistance.
Other Ways to Help Support the Children Enrolled at Harbor Child Care
We accept donations of goods such as toys for play, books, and furniture. Please note that we do not take stuffed animals, toys that help toddlers stand or crawl, cribs, car seats, walkers, bouncy seats, or highchairs.
At Harbor Child Care, we are big supporters of food drives during the holiday season. We welcome people to give non-perishable items, frozen turkeys, and gift cards in November and December. We also conduct an Adopt-A-Family program, whereby donors buy clothing and gifts for a Harbor family in need.
